Watercolour painting Workshop: Trees in Spring & Bluebells

14 April 2018, 10:00 - 15:00 ( Add to calendar )

Be inspired by the ancient woodland of Nower Wood and learn how to use watercolours to create beautiful paintings of the surrounding trees in Spring and the native bluebells covering the woodland floor.

Through direct observation, group discussion and practical excercises you will explore colour mixing to capture the huge variety of greens in nature.  We will then focus on the varying hues of blue found in the carpet of bluebells.

Your tutor Christina Rossman, is a professional painter, graphic designer/illustrator and photographer with a Danish background.  She can always be found working with a sketchbook using pencil, ink & watercolour to capture moments, ideas and details. She is an experienced teacher who can cater to the needs of beginners as well as improvers.

As some of the day will be spent outside it is advisable to wear sensible clothing and sturdy walking boots.

Please bring Watercolour paper 300 grams (NOT or ROUGH -avoid hot pressed), brushes (flat & round), watercolour paints (tubes or pans) and pencils.
