Nature Inspired Lino Printing
17 February 2018, 09:30 - 13:00 ( Add to calendar )
Greeting cards can be very expensive - so why not come along to a workshop that teaches you how to handprint your own stationery?
You will learn how to carve a picture or drawing into lino and then use hand printing methods to develop your own designs. You can experiment by adding coloured paper, print onto book pages and even maps to create unique prints. These can then be framed or used to produce beautiful handmade cards.
This half day course will begin with a short walk through the ancient woodland of Nower Wood. It is the perfect way to get inspired for a creative morning.
We will provide everything you will need on the day. All tools, lino, printing inks and a variety of papers, maps and books will be made available for your use. The only thing you will need to bring with you is an apron (we will be using water based inks), walking boots and wet weather gear (just in case) and some ideas! (But rest assured that Tiffany will have loads of suggestions for you as well).
Tutor Profile - Tiffany Gregory
Tiffany can’t remember a time when she wasn’t making ‘stuff’. From an early age she could be found sewing away on her black and gold antique singer. This need to create has continued throughout her life from mosaic to printing, sewing to photography and everything in-between. She did a Foundation in Art and Design as a mature student and then completed a degree in Fine Art. Her love of colour can be seen in everything she does and her aim in life is to be creative each day, even if it’s only for 5 minutes.
