Craft Workshop: Christmas Lino Printing
03 November 2018, 10:00 - 15:00 ( Add to calendar )
Sending hand made cards is the most personal and thoughtful way to wish someone a happy holiday season. It is also very cost effective. So, why not match your wrapping paper with your card? Lino printing is a wonderful way to create a design of your choice that can be printed multiple times in a variety of colours on different types of paper.
This full day course will begin with a short walk through the ancient woodland of Nower Wood. It is the perfect way to get inspired for a creative day.
We will provide everything you will need on the day. All tools, lino, printing inks and a variety of papers, maps and books will be made available for your use. However, as you will have all day to work on this project, we suggest that you bring along blank cards or paper that you can print for use during the holidays. Your tutor will also have extra stock items that you can purchase on the day.
The only other thing you will need to bring with you is an apron (we will be using water based inks), walking boots and wet weather gear (just in case) and some ideas! (But rest assured that Tiffany will have loads of suggestions for you as well). Don't forget a packed lunch.
Tutor Profile - Tiffany Gregory
Tiffany can’t remember a time when she wasn’t making ‘stuff’. From an early age she could be found sewing away on her black and gold antique singer. This need to create has continued throughout her life from mosaic to printing, sewing to photography and everything in-between. She did a Foundation in Art and Design as a mature student and then completed a degree in Fine Art. Her love of colour can be seen in everything she does and her aim in life is to be creative each day, even if it’s only for 5 minutes.
