Apple Tree Pruning

28 November 2017, 10:00 - 15:00 ( Add to calendar )

The apple tree is a staple for many of us in Surrey. Whether it is a single cherished Bramley in the back garden or a multi-variety apple orchard, care must be given to the management of these fruit producing trees.

Join Paul Ritchie in learning the best ways to time your pruning, physically trim your trees to conserve their appearance and ensure you get optimal fruit production whilst prolonging their life. We will be using a Surrey Wildlife Trust apple orchard near Guildford to demonstrate these skills.

All tools and safety equipment will be provided, however it is recommended that you wear sturdy walking boots and all weather clothing.
